August 17, 2023 – Rochester, NY – The Marketplace Mall announces the opening of Floor & Decor, the leading high-growth retailer specializing in hard-surface flooring for homeowners and professionals. This is their first store in the Greater Rochester Area. Floor & Decor, a favorite amongst DIYers, features a huge selection of affordable flooring, tiles, fixtures, and decorative accents to complete any home renovation.
Floor & Decor opened their doors for shoppers on Thursday, August 10 as they launched their soft opening phase; Thursday, August 17th, marks their Grand Opening. To celebrate the occasion, Floor & Decor will be holding a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 2:30pm with local dignitaries and chambers; guests will also enjoy refreshments and the opportunity to explore this brand-new store.
The previous structure was demolished to construct the brand new 65,573 square foot Floor & Décor building, now open off Hylan Drive near the Jefferson Road intersection. To celebrate this milestone, Floor & Decor is holding two promotions in the coming weeks. On Saturday, August 19 the first 200 visitors, aged 18 or older, will have the chance to win $1 million dollars with the famous Floor & Decor dice roll if they can roll the dice to spell “F-L-O-O-R-S”. Earlier this year, The Marketplace Mall opened local favorite Juan & Maria’s, specialty retailer Refresh My Kicks, and locally owned restaurant ZOKE. The current project and partnership between URMC Orthopaedics and Physical Performance and The Marketplace Mall continues to move forward. The remainder of the project, including the four-story tower, is on schedule and slated to be completed by the end of the year.
