Young singers competed Saturday for a chance at many prizes, including a recording deal.
The "Hang Onto the Dream Music Competition" hit Marketplace Mall this morning, giving kids ages 17 and under a chance to sing.
The winner will get to record 20 hours of his or her music and will receive five hundred copies of the CD.
Christopher Ewing, the National Organization's Founder and President, said, "There's just some really great, really cool dynamic kids out here that are doing some great things.
"They really need to be recognized for some of these skills and talents that they have and some that's kind of where the hang onto the dream foundation comes in. we pay kids ice skating lessons, dance lessons, stuff like that when their parents can't, " said Christopher Ewing.
Ewing says helping young kids achieve their dreams has become his life goal.
