New Stores Coming to the Mall

Changes are taking place at The Marketplace Mall. The Anchor Bar has signed a lease and will begin construction on a 6,522 square foot space at the East entrance. The restaurant's location at the East entrance of the mall, facing Hylan Drive, will sit directly across from Wegman's to give the mall an exciting new look. Bringing with them their world famous wings, the Anchor Bar will also offer wall-to-wall high-definition TVs. This is the second Anchor Bar in the Rochester market. Along with the chicken wings, the restaurant will offer a traditional full-service menu.
This will not be the only new look to the mall's exterior, the mall is also announcing Old Navy's arrival. Old Navy moved from its location in South Town Plaza and will be located in the Sears wing of the mall. Construction has already begun on the 17, 507 square foot space which will also face Hylan Drive. While waiting for its completion, Old Navy has set up a temporary location in the former DSW building behind the mall. They are aiming to move into their permanent location in November, just in time for the holiday season.
Along with Old Navy and The Anchor Bar, a 12,507 square foot shoe store is slated to open in the Sears wing in late October. Formerly Altier's Shoes, Encore Shoe Department will offer a wide selection of men's, women's and children's foot apparel along with accessories and purses.
